In today’s time, we often see that sports academies and training programs are treated as just another business. Facilities are offered, fees are charged but the heart and soul of real sports are often missing. The difference lies not in the infrastructure, but in the intention behind it.
That is why it becomes important to introduce the visionary behind Fighter Sports —Mr. Suraj Awale, a true sportsman by heart and profession. Hailing from Bhor, Pune, Suraj Awale is not just a certified trainer, but a living example of what passion, discipline, and purpose can build. He holds an M.A. and M.P.Ed. in Physical Education, is a Third-Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, and is a certified national-level self-defense trainer. He is a three-time national medalist in Taekwondo and a national referee in Taekwondo. His athletic journey includes competing at the state and zonal levels in Kabaddi, Handball, 100-meter sprint, long jump, and shot put.
But his journey doesn’t stop on the field. He is also an accomplished author, with three published books including the bestseller “The Journey of Athlete”, which guides students, parents, and aspiring athletes through the realities of building a career in sports. His academic contribution includes four published research papers, especially in the field of sports and education policies under the New Education Policy (NEP).
Suraj Awale founded Fighter Sports with a strong belief: “Sports is not a business—it is a passion and a purpose. It is the future of our society.” If sports is led by real sportsmen, not just businessmen, India has the power to rise as a leading Olympic medalwinning nation. Starting from his own village, he made it his mission to bring structured, scientific, and affordable sports training to every corner of the state. Under his leadership, Fighter Sports has developed Maharashtra’s first scientifically designed school sports program aligned with NEP, empowering schools, students, and society.
